The island of Murter

One of favorite nautical destinations on Adriatic coast, Murter is a village located on the northern part of the island of Murter. With it's 2000 Inhabitants, is settled on fertile land between bays Slanica (beautiful sand beach) and Hramina (safe anchor place for small yachts, as it's naturally protected from all winds). Thanks to its vicinity to Kornati National Park and other islands of Šibenik Archipelago, many yachts and motorboats are berthed there. Inhabitants of Murter are involved in agriculture and fishery from ancient times, Murterani (people from Murter) are also well-know as very good olive-oil producers.

Distance between island and mainland is only 6 meters, which resulted by a movable bridge, that makes island reachable and gives it an additional charm.
