From 27th until 30th of October 2011 Daruvar will be host of BEST South Regional Meeting. Organiser of this event is student organisation BEST Zagreb, which organises different meetings and courses through last 12 years. BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is organisation which works inside of Europe through 90 local BEST groups divided in 11 regions. In our region, called South, there are LBGs from Rome, Ljubljana, Veszprém, Timisoara, Mostar, Novi Sad, Budapest and Zagreb. Last week in October BEST Zagreb is going to organise Regional Meeting which is going to gather 80 students from South region, members of international boards and trainers. On Regional Meetings students bring decisions about further work of BEST, have discussions about education and technology and organise different workshops and soft skills trainings. In their spare time students will talk about previous projects and will be able to explore beauties of Daruvar. Regional Meetings are organised two times in one year for students to prepare for General Assembly at the beginning of spring. Also one of the main topics on this event will be EBEC 2012 - the biggest student's engineering competition which gathers students from all Europe. On EBEC 104 BEST students will search the BEST of them (5000 students will compete in a first round), and honor of organising this event at the beginning of August 2012 was given to BEST Zagreb.
