Prof. dr. sc. Mario Cifrek,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Department of Electronic Systems and Information Processing
| Prof. dr. sc. Mario Cifrek became an honorary member in 2010. During his mandate as vice-dean responsible for classes, he gave unselfish support in all our activities, which spanned from establishing contact with extinguished companies who later became partners on our projects to putting in a good word for our organization when our activities required the support of the Faculty. In each moment he monitored our work and was willing to help out selflessly, with which BEST Zagreb gained another great sympathizer and partner. |

Prof. dr. sc. Mirta Baranović,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Department of Applied Computing
| Prof.dr.sc. Mirta Baranovic became our Honorary Member in year 2001 and she supported BEST Zagreb from our beginning in 1999. She has helped us to establish first contacts, to find first sponsors, and she helped with logistics at our first Summer Course and with financing of Spring Course IBS+. She was main responsible lecturer at our second Summer Course (E-business & mobile internet, 2001) and she has prepared the content of it in a form that is required to ensure ECTS credits – which is the first example of ECTS credits given in Croatia and transferred and recognized at foreign universities. |

Prof. dr. sc. Vedran Bilas,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Department of Electronical Systems and Information Processing
|
Prof. dr. sc. Vedran Bilas became our Honorary Member in year 2004. Thanks to him we were regularly present at every Start-Up Forum at Info Fair in Zagreb. He helped us with organisation and fundraising for JobFair 2004. After the establishment of Student`s Entrepreneurial Incubator he provided us an opportunity to become a partner in that initiative, first of that kind in Croatia. He was also the main responsible lecturer at our Summer Course „Idea2Business“, 2004, where participants have got ECTS credits, he facilitated the participation of members of BEST to participate in professional seminars PUMA, organized by the HUP and he generally contributed to the affirmation of BEST at the University of Zagreb. |
Prof. dr. sc. Branko Jeren,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Electronic Systems and Information Processing
| Professor Branko Jeren became Honorary Member in 2005. His influence and contacts in the leading European institutions in the field of engineering education have provided an important and indispensable support to BEST Zagreb in the implementation of the project BEST Academics and Companies, providing to it stronger international character and he has actively participated in the discussions of that forum. He also provided to the members of BEST-Zagreb participation in the work of the Commission for the development and restructuring of university studies in the field of technical sciences. With his work professor Jeren voluntarily went out from his framework of interests and professional activities, and thus helped to create the opportunity to Zagreb BEST to affirm itself by its action at the University of Zagreb and also at many other partners.. |

Mr. sc. Krunoslav Ormuž,
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Department of IC Engines and Mechanical Handling Equipment.
|
|
Mr. sc. Krunoslav Ormuž has participated in our summer seminar, “Imagine, Create, Drive” as main responsible lecturer. From that day he has been contributing a lot to our course - he has enabled us lectures, experiences and excursions and helped us to give an unforgettable experience to our participants. He impressed us already at first meeting- there was no question that he did not know answer or problem for that he hasn`t offered a solution. We are very grateful for everything that he has done and the honorary membership was the least we could have done in return. |
BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is an organization of highly motivated students of technical engineering. Our goal is to help students to become more internationally minded through challenging projects such as academic , or non-academic courses, cultural exchanges, soft skill trainings, workshops and engineering competitions.
Feel free to come to one of our regular meetings, held every Thursday evening at 20:00! We gather in the lobby of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER).
